Sinplus are a Swiss duo, made up of brothers Ivan and Gabriel Broggini.[1] The duo were chosen to represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan with "Unbreakable", after winning the Swiss national final on December 10.[2]
Music career
Gabriel and Ivan are brothers in the rock business. Yet they are still quite different characters. But whatever differences, vanities, stupidities or inconsistencies: everything stays in the family. Gabriel and Ivan are enthusiastic, very skilled musicians and outstanding, gifted composers. They have made music for longer than they can remember.
After leaving school, Gabriel decided to move to San Diego. The underground music scene fascinated him. Hardly back from Switzerland he formed a band together with his brother and they composed songs
At the end of 2011 Sinplus were chosen to officially represent Switzerland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku in Azerbaijan. The title “Unbreakable” defeated all the other strong competitors. Before the Eurovision adventure, in April 2012 they released the first SINPLUS album “Disinformation”.
Both brothers Gabriel and Ivan have been up and down the country since then and became esteemed musicians even far beyond the Swiss borders. In fact Sinplus were able to perform almost everywhere in Europe.
In the second half of 2013 Sinplus were in the studio again. This time in England where they were producing their second album “Up To Me” with «140db». The album was released in January 2014.
The Broggini's brothers recently won the "Best Swiss Act" at the MTV European Award.
