The son of Sir Theophilus Biddulph, 1st Baronet and Susanna Highlord, Michael Biddulph was educated at St Paul's School and Christ's College, Cambridge.[1] He succeeded to his father's baronetcy in April 1683.[2] Biddulph was Member of Parliament (MP) for Lichfield from 1679 to 1685 and from 1689 to 1690. He was also for MP for Lichfield between 1695 and January 1701, between November 1701 to 1705 and between 1708 and 1710. On 31 December 1673, he married firstly Henrietta Maria Witley, daughter of Colonel Richard Witley in Westminster Abbey in London and on 7 March 1697 or 1698 secondly Elizabeth D'Oyly, daughter of William D'Oyly. He had two daughters and one son, Theophilus Biddulph by his first wife and three daughters by his first wife.[3][4]
