Skokie Public Library

Skokie Public Library has been serving the community of Skokie, Illinois.,[1] since 1929.[2]

In 2008, the library received the National Medal for Museum and Library Service for outstanding community service.[3][4]

The Skokie Public Library transitioned to a digital reference collection, and now uses the superfluous space as an office suite that is lent hourly to patrons. This allows patrons with start-ups the opportunity to meet with clients. The space contains three rooms, is equipped with wifi, can accommodate up to fifty people, and opened in November 2012.[5]
