Smilavichy (Belarusian: Смілавічы, Śmiłavičy) or Smilovichi (Russian: Смило́вичи ) is a town settlement in Belarus in the Minsk Province, located at 53°45′N 28°01′E / 53.75°N 28.02°E / 53.75; 28.02 at 156 m altitude.[1]

In Jewish tradition it is known as Smilovitz (Yiddish, historical usage from when it was a shtetl in the Russian Empire). The village is the birthplace of the renowned painter Chaim Soutine.
