It has been selected for the International School Award (ISA) from the British Government by the British Council, a non-governmental organization. There are extra-curricular activities like military training, NCC, Scouts and Guides.

An 'Individual Education Programme' has been started for children with learning difficulties. For testing the students abilities, Std1-4 have the 'appraisal' system, in which grades are given to the students. From Std 5, the exam system begins. Till the academic year 2010-2011, it was a 50 marks paper. However from the year 2011-2012 the marks have been revised to maximum marks of 80. The GPA system is followed where GPA means 'grade point average'. The maximum GPA is 5. Students scoring GPA higher than 3.75 are given membership in the Honour Society. Students in std 1-5 are in the elementary section, students of std 6-8 are in the junior section and students of std 9-10 are in the senior section along with students of std 11-12 being in the ISC section. School song
