Sofiane Boufal (born 17 September 1993) is a Moroccan footballer who plays as a Attacking Midfielder for Lille OSC in Ligue 1.[1]

Club career

Angers

Boufal joined Angers SCO and went through their youth system from youth to B to the senior team. In the 2014/2015 season, he helped get Angers promoted to the Ligue 1. He racked up a total of 4 goals that season, enough to see through that Angers got promoted at 3rd place.

Lille

In January 2015, Boufal transferred to Lille OSC for an undisclosed fee. He has already become a fan favorite and as of 4th April 2016, he has garnered 8 goals and 4 assist in the Ligue 1.

International career

Morocco

Boufal made his debut for the Moroccan first team on 25 March 2016 starting in a 1-0 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification victory against Cape Verde. [2]
