Some of My Best Friends Are DJs
Some of My Best Friends Are DJs was the second album released by recording artist Kid Koala. Included in the album is an all-vinyl-assembled ska track “Skanky Panky” as well as Kid Koala’s version of the New Orleans jazz classic “Basin Street Blues,” plus the John Hughes-inspired “Flu Season,” consisting of 47 coughs and sneezes scratched off of records.* Because of the track's seeming jazz samplings, it is believed that the "Savoi" reference in track 4 refers to Savoy Records; an American record label used by many jazz greats such as Charlie Parker, Erroll Garner, Dizzy Gillespie and many more.
