Someone Knows Something is a podcast by Canadian award-winning filmmaker and writer David Ridgen, first released in March 2016. The series is co-produced by Ridgen, Ashley Walters, Sandra Bartlett, Steph Kampf and executive producer Arif Noorani.[1]
Using investigative journalism, Ridgen narrates a nonfiction story over multiple episodes. Episodes range from 15 to 40 minutes,[2] and are released every week.
This is Ridgen's first podcast experience,[2] and CBC Radio's first true-crime podcast.
Series overview
The first season focuses on the 1972 disappearance of Adrien McNaughton, a five-year-old boy who vanished during a family fishing trip in Eastern Ontario. The McNaughton family is from Arnprior, Ontario where Ridgen grew up, moving there with his family shortly after Adrien’s disappearance.[3]
