Sonaraithari (also spelled Sona Rai Thari, Sonaraythadi) is a community development block that forms an administrative division in Deoghar district, Jharkhand state, India. It is located 25 km from Deoghar, the district headquarters.
Geography
Sonaraithari, the eponymous CD Block headquarters, is located at 24°21′28″N 86°53′56″E / 24.35778°N 86.89889°E.

As per 2011 Census of India Sona Rai Tharhi CD Block had a total population of 76,116, all of which were rural. There were 39.394 (52 %) males and 36,722 (48 %) females. Literacy
As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Sona Rai Tharhi CD Block was 35,493 (58.03 % of the population over 6 years) out of which 23,072 (65 %) were males and 12,421 (35 %) were females.[2]
