Shankar Vaman Dandekar

Shankar Vaman Dandekar (Devanagari: शंकर वामन, उपाख्य सोनोपंत, दांडेकर; 1896-1969) was a philosopher and educationist from Maharashtra, India. He was commonly known as Sonopant Dandekar and as Mamasaheb (सोनोपन्त / सोनुमामा / सोनूमामा / मामासाहेब दाण्डेकर).

He was an important interpreter of Warkari Bhakti Sampraday in Maharashtra. His funeral was marked on a grad scale by the Warkari movement.

He served as a professor of philosophy and the principal of Sir Parshurambhau College in Pune for many years.

He edited and published several Hindu religious texts in Sanskrit and Marathi languages.
