Soreang is the capital of the Bandung Regency. Located 18 km from Bandung. This is where the regency's governor office. After movements from Bandung and, Baleendah.
Transportation
Soreang is a central place for a transportation for South Bandung. Located just 18 km from Bandung. In the colonial times, there used to be a railway connecting Bandung and, Ciwidey. But it is no longer in use.

Stadium
Soreang is home to Jalak Harupat Soreang Stadium. It is one of the largest stadium in Indonesia. It's internationally standared. Home to Persikab Bandung which plays in Liga Indonesia Premier Division, and they one city rival Persib Bandung which plays in Indonesia Super League.

Development
As time goes by, Soreang started to build new road, buildings, houses. Now with new toll road is undergoing, the Soreang-Pasir Koja Toll Road would connect South Bandung to Soreang. The first stone it put by Ahmad Heryawan. In front of Jalak Harupat Soreang Stadium. Expected to be done by September, 2016. Before the National Sports Week.
