The Sorrento Stakes is an American Thoroughbred horse race held annually at Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, California. It is open only to two-year-old fillies and is run at a distance of six and one-half furlongs on Polytrack. Recently elevated from a Grade III, it is now a Grade II and currently offers a purse of $200,000.
Since inception the race has been contested at various distances and surfaces:
- 7.5 furlongs : 1967 (on turf)
- 6 furlongs : 1970-73 (on dirt)
- 1 mile : 1974-1985 (on dirt)
- 7 furlongs : 1986-1992 (on dirt)
- 6.5 furlongs : 1993-2006 (on dirt)
- 6.5 furlongs : 2007–present (on Polytrack)
