After leaving Sepultura in late 1996, frontman Max Cavalera formed Soulfly. The band's first lineup included drummer Roy Mayorga and guitarist Jackson Bandeira (ex-Chico Science), along with former Sepultura roadie Marcello D. Rapp on bass (who'd previously played in The Mist alongside former Sepultura guitarist Jairo Guedz). Their self-titled debut album was released in 1998; their latest album, Archangel, was released in 2015.
