Soumya Rai (Also Saumya) is a popular Nepali origin dancer of India. She is the daughter of an Indian army officer whose background belongs to Nepal. She has taken professional coaching from her guru Mr. Raj and specialises in hip-hop. She came into the spotlight as an 8 year old dancer in Boogie Woogie dance competition. After that show she participated in Dance India Dance Li'l Masters (season 2) where she got international recognition as a dancer. She was one of the strongest contestant on the show and the only girl to reach the finale. She wants to win the Miss Universe pageant one day but for now all she wants to do is dance. She looks up to Terrence Lewis for inspiration.[1]
