South London Thunderbirds are a girls junior Rugby League club based in the London Borough of Croydon. They form part of South London Storm's junior structure.

History

The South London Thunderbirds are South London Storm's sixth satellite club and were formed in November 2008 to specifically cater for girls over the age of 11 who wish to continue playing Rugby League.

The club was launched on the back of a successful first ever South London Girls Rugby League Festival held at Storm Park on 19 November 2008. The participants came from a number of schools in the Bromley, Croydon and Lambeth areas. They competed at the U12 and U14 age groups.

South London Rugby League's women and girls programme is in the first year of an initial three-year plan.
