The Southern Giant Salamander or Salamandra Gigante De Putla (Pseudoeurycea maxima) is a species of salamander in the family Plethodontidae. It is endemic to Mexico.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, plantations, rural gardens, and heavily degraded former forest.
