Space radio station
- This article is about Space radio station and should not be confused with the space station in the meaning of spacecraft.
Space radio station (short: space station) is – according to Article 1.64 of the International Telecommunication Union´s (ITU) RR[1] – defined as «A station located on an object which is beyond, is intended to go beyond, or has been beyond, the major portion of the Earth's atmosphere.»
Each station shall be classified by the service in which it operates permanently or temporarily. However, most spacecraft communicate by this means.
