A spadebill is any of seven species of Central and South American passerine birds of the genus Platyrinchus:
- Cinnamon-crested spadebill, Platyrinchus saturatus[1]
- Stub-tailed spadebill, Platyrinchus cancrominus[2]
- Yellow-throated spadebill, Platyrinchus flavigularis[3]
- Golden-crowned spadebill, Platyrinchus coronatus[4]
- White-throated spadebill, Platyrinchus mystaceus[5]
- White-crested spadebill, Platyrinchus platyrhynchos[6]
- Russet-winged spadebill, Platyrinchus leucoryphus[7]
Spadebills are members of the family Tyrannidae, the tyrant flycatchers. They have broad, flat, triangular bills.
