The Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly (Hindi: उत्तराखण्ड विधानसभा अध्यक्ष) is the presiding officer of the Legislative Assembly of Uttarakhand, the main law-making body for the Indian state of Uttarakhand. He is elected by the members of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly. The speaker is always a member of the Legislative Assembly. Currently the office of Speaker lies vacant following the imposition of President's rule in Uttarakhand.[1]
