Speed limits in Singapore
Generally, the speed limits in Singapore on the one lane roads, private and slip roads are 40 km/h, the normal ordinary one lane road is 50 km/h. All roads do have speed limits until 90 km/h.
Offenders who caught speeding between 6:30am and 12:00am will be fined and given demerit points as follows:
- 1-20km/h: $130/4 demerit points
- 21-30km/h: $150/6 demerit points
- 31-40km/h: $180/8 demerit points
- 41 and beyond: Offenders are prosecuted in court.
