Splashdown is a water racing video game for the Xbox and Sony PlayStation 2. It can be played by one or two players. Splashdown is quite similar to Nintendo's Wave Race series. Players take control of a personal water craft as they race against each other on various courses. Players must pass the correct side of buoys on the way, or the personal water craft may stall as a penalty.
It received a sequel, Splashdown: Rides Gone Wild, in 2003.
Reception
Splashdown received mostly positive reviews. It has a Metacritic and GameRankings score of 84/100 and 82.48% and 78/100 and 78.07% for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions respectively.[1][2][3][4] IGN gave it 8.8/10 stating the game was highly addictive.
