SpotOption

SpotOption is an international company, with offices in the Middle East, Europe, Japan.[1] and Hong Kong.[2] The company works within the financial sector and provides binary options trading technology.[3] SpotOption was founded in 2009, and is the biggest binary options platform provider, holding 70% of the market share.[4]

SpotOption works globally and supply some of the biggest brokerages in the industry such as Banc de Binary, itrader, BDSwiss,[5] OptionRally, Webitrader[6] and FXDD.[7]

History

SpotOption was established in May 2009 by Pini Peter, as a B2C operation. After 2 years of operation, SpotOption decided to sell their B2C operation, TraderXP, and focus its efforts on a B2B operation only.[8]

Regulation

In May 2012, Cysec (the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission) has announced that binary options will be included in a list of financial instruments that will "fall within the remit of the Investment Services and Activities and Regulated Markets Law".[9] SpotOption Exchange, a SpotOption associated company headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus, was the first to obtain its license (number 170/12), granting it to be the first market making investment firm in Europe enabling Binary Options trading.[10][11] SpotOption in a collaboration with Spotoption Exchange,[12] offers its brands a license to legally offer their clients their services throughout Europe. SpotOption’s features, such as the Front end, Trading Engine, CRM, and CMS were developed specifically to be in accordance with the compliance requirements of the regulators in Mifid EU, FCA, UK, Malta Financial Services Authority and ASIC Australia[13]
