Sri Satru Samhara Moorthy

Sri Satru Samhara Moorthy is a ferocious form of God Muruga who destroys enemies. God Kartikeya is born from the six faces of Lord Shiva for the purpose of destroying demon Surapadman. Although God Muruga is a child god and can easily fell fond towards the devotees, he is fierce and dangerous to his enemies. God Muruga is considered as the god of love and god of war. He is the chief of the army of gods. It is believed that he can destroy all the evil and negative forces.

Appearance

In most of the temples Satru Samhara Moorthy is seen as a god having six faces and twelve hands riding in the peacock with Vel and Roosterflag killing the demon Surapadman .In Thiruchendur Murugan Temple he is having single face and two hands killing Surapadman in the shores of bay of Bengal.

Satru Samhara Pooja

Satru Samhara Pooja is a divine ritual or custom or practice of Kaumaram a subsect of Hinduism,in which Sri Satru Samhara Moorthy is worshipped to destroy our enemies.Tiruchendur Murugan Temple is well known for this pooja.It is believed that performing this ritual renders a person joy and authority.It protects one from evil eyes,curses of gods,planets and ancestors.It further enhances family relationship,removes dullness,fear,mental block,frees one from debts,helps to cure fatal diseases,bestows progeny,gives good health and six siddhis.This pooja is recommended to the persons who constantly face enemies (especially police and military men),one in political field,business competitors,for whom possessed with black magic,evil eyes and spirits,Ancestral curses,and those suffering from chronic diseases.It is believed that this pooja will protect the performer from negative and evil forces.Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Karnataka Chief Minister has performed this pooja to get override with their political enemies.
