St. Mary's Church, Helsinki

St. Mary's Church is a Roman Catholic church in Meilahti, Helsinki neighborhood. In 1954 the church was completed and it was designed by architect Kaj Salenius.

The Church has other parts, such as the church hall and rectory. These were corrected in 1976. The interior of the church was renovated in 1985. At that time, the church made an altar on the wall of a deacon by German artist Claus Kilian. The church interior from the outset was completed gradually. Construction has two different dates from the altar. Oldest altar is against the wall, and the current main altar is in the middle of the chancel. The church has a separate baptistery.[1]

The church hall on both sides is composed of the stained glass windows representing the seven corporal and seven spiritual acts of charity.

The church organ dates back from 1965, it was built by Swedish Richard Jacoby. Church bell tower has three bells.[2]
