St. Michael's Chapel is a church from 2012 in Oppdal Municipality, Sør-Trøndelag county.

The building was planned by the working group Tourism Drivdalen,[1] the result of a future workshop which was organized in winter 2010. The idea of a church with connection to The Pilegrims Path over Dovrefjell Mountains, is related to the fact that previously (during the middle ages) there had been a church called Loskirka (The Church of Loe) in Drivdalen, located at one of the farms in Losgrenda (The Loe Hamlet). The Parish Priest, Arne Aspeland has contributed to the work in designing the chapel interior.

The chapel was built on a voluntary basis with financial support from a number of local companies including Holtermann’s Endowment managed by Oppdal Council (the endowment ended in 2012). It was consecrated on 29 September (Mikaelsmesse – Mass of St. Michael) 2012 with, Parish Priest Arne Aspeland, Bishop Tor Singsaas, Provost Øystein Flø and Pastor Øyvind Vognild, present. Aspeland had the honor of leading the first Mass that was held in conjunction with the consecration.[2] The church is now part of the executive church life of the congregations in Oppdal. The chapel got the church bell during the summer of 2013 and it was used first time 19 July the same year.[3]

The Church has no graveyard.
