Stancho Stanchev
Stancho Georgiev Stanchev (Bulgarian Станчо Георгиев Станчев) is a Bulgarian theatre director.
Biography
Born on 5 September 1932 in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. Graduated the Krastyo Sarafov National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts (NATFA), Sofia in 1955, specialty theatre directing under Professor Boyan Danovski. [1] He postgraduated at the Vakhtangov Theatre under Evgeny Simonov and at the Moscow Satire Theatre under Valentin Pluchek in Moscow.
He has staged more than 100 plays by Bulgarian and foreign playwrights on the stages of the drama theatres in Varna, Ruse, Shumen, Sofia, Moscow, Silistra, Pazardzhik.[2] He is a spouse of the artist Daria Vassilyanska.

- 1959–1962 - stage director at the Sava Ognianov Dramatic Theatre in Ruse
- 1962–1992 - stage director, artistic director of the Stoyan Bachvarov Dramatic Theatre in Varna
