Stanley Nicholas Ruzycki (December 31, 1915 – October 15, 2004) was a provincial politician from Alberta, Canada. He served as a member of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta from 1955 to 1959 as one of two members of the opposition Co-operative Commonwealth Federation caucus.
Political career
Ruzycki ran for a seat to the Alberta Legislature in the 1952 Alberta general election as a Co-operative Commonwealth candidate in the electoral district of Vegreville. He was defeated in a hotly contested race on the second vote count by incumbent Michael Ponich.[2]
Ponich and Ruzycki faced each other for the second time in the 1955 Alberta general election. The three way race was again hotly contested with Ruzycki defeating Ponich on the second vote count to pick up the seat for his party and win his first term in office.[3]
Ruzycki ran for a second term in office in the 1959 Alberta general election. He was defeated by Social Credit candidate Alex Gordey finishing a distant second place in the four way race.[4]
