Starpoint Central School District is a public schooling system consisting of elementary, intermediate, middle, and high school institutions. The district also offers Universal Pre-Kindergarten through funding from the New York State Education Department. It is located in Pendleton, New York. The school mascot is the Spartan, and the school colors are garnet and gray. Boys athletic programs include baseball, basketball, club ice hockey, cross country, football, ski club, soccer, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling. Girls athletic programs include basketball, cheerleading, cross country, field hockey, ski club, soccer, softball, swimming and diving, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
In 2015 Starpoint CSD was ranked 8th out of 98 school districts according to Business First.[4] They also received a Five Star Science Award for exceptional performance in Science across grades K-12.[5]
In 2012 Starpoint CSD launched their official Facebook page to increase communication with the Starpoint community and to highlight the great events happening throughout the district. As of December 2013, the district has nearly 1,000 followers/likes.[6]
