Stephen Gough (born 21 March 1981, Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish football player currently playing for Crumlin United F.C. in the Leinster Senior League.

He began his career at Bray Wanderers F.C. and then signed for a short spell at Monaghan United at the start of the shortened 2002/03 season. He signed for Shamrock Rovers F.C. shortly after and made his Rovers debut on 11 October 2002.[1]

Gough scored seven league goals in total in the Hoops, and was the clubs Young Player of the Year for 2004.

He made four appearances in the UEFA Intertoto Cup, before transferring to Longford in July 2005.[2]

In December 2006, he signed back for Bray Wanderers F.C., but was released at the end of the 2007 season.[3]

Following a break from the game, Gough returned to league action with Longford Town F.C. in July 2008, before leaving at the end of the 2009 season.

Now playing in Qatar for EIS Pearl Community FC, Gough still remains adamant that he hasn't given the ball away since 1995.
