Stephen Woodruff Owen (born March 22, 1958) has been the 22nd general president of the Young Men organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since April 2015.

Owen was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Gordon and Carolyn Owen. He married Jane Stringham in the Provo Utah Temple in 1979; they are the parents of five children. Owen has a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Utah and owns a Great Harvest Bread Company franchise in Provo, Utah.

As a young man, Owen served as a missionary in the LDS Church's Texas San Antonio Mission. He served as president of the California Arcadia Mission from 2005 to 2008. He has also served in the church as a scout leader, ward Young Men president, bishop, stake high councilor, and stake president.

In July 2015, Owen was among those on the Boy Scouts of America executive board who voted against changing rules for leaders in scouting.[1]

Owen is a direct descendant of Wilford Woodruff[2] and lives in Provo, Utah.
