Steven Mitchell Glazer (born August 10, 1957) is an American politician currently serving in the California State Senate. He is a Democrat representing the 7th district, encompassing parts of the East Bay area. Prior to being elected to the state senate, he was the mayor of Orinda. He won a May 2015 special election to succeed Mark DeSaulnier, defeating fellow Democrat Susan Bonilla.[1]

Glazer was President of the Associated Students at San Diego State University and then was elected by his peers to be the Chairman of the California State Students Association "CSSA". Glazer was also Governor Jerry Brown's campaign manager at SDSU. Immediately upon graduation he served as the Legislative Director of the CSSA in Sacramento.
