Steve Isakowitz

Steve Isakowitz (born c. 1961) is the President of Virgin Galactic.[1]

While serving as Branch Chief for Science and Space at the White House Office of Management and Budget, he managed a $50 billion space program budget.[2]

He was the Deputy Associate Administrator of NASA, from 2002 to 2005.[3][4][5]

In 2007, he was appointed as the United States Department of Energy Chief Financial Officer by President George W. Bush[6] and was selected to continue in his position under President Barack Obama. [7]

Isakowitz is the co-author of the International Reference Guide to Space Launch Systems [8]

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Mr. Isakowitz graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in aerospace engineering.
