Steve Quinn (c.1951 – 2016) was a rugby league footballer of the 1970s and '80s, who played as a centre for York and Featherstone Rovers.

Playing career

Challenge Cup final appearances

Quinn played, and scored four-conversions in Featherstone Rovers' 14-12 victory over Hull in the 1983 Challenge Cup final during the 1982–83 season at Wembley Stadium, London on Saturday 7 May 1983.[1]

County Cup final appearances

Quinn played Centre, i.e. number 4, and scored 3-conversions in Featherstone Rovers' 12-16 defeat by Leeds in the 1976 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1976–77 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 16 October 1976, and played Centre, i.e. number 4, (replaced by Interchange/Substitute Neil Tuffs) and scored a conversion in the 7-17 defeat by Castleford in the 1977 Yorkshire Cup final during the 1977–78 season at Headingley Stadium, Leeds on Saturday 15 October 1977.

Club Career

Quinn started his career at York before joining Featherstone Rovers in 1975, he went on to become Featherstone Rovers' record goal and point scorer,[2] and finished his career with a total of 3,438 points.[3]
