Steven K. Skinner

Steven K. Skinner is the chief executive officer of KemperSports,[1] a golf course management company, and KemperLesnik,[2] a sports marketing, events and public relations agency.

Skinner became the second CEO in KemperSports’ 30-year history when he succeeded the company’s founder, Steven H. Lesnik, in 2008.[3] He and KemperSports President Josh Lesnik are currently ranked No. 13 on Golf Inc. magazine’s list of the Most Powerful People in Golf.[4] Skinner began his career at KemperSports in 1998 serving as president and chief operating officer prior to his election as CEO.

Skinner was one of the founders of The First Tee of Greater Chicago.[5] Skinner also serves as a National Trustee of the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.

Prior to joining KemperSports and the golf industry, Skinner practiced law at Mayer Brown and served in the first Bush Administration.[6] Skinner earned his law degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from Lawrence University.
