Steven Pasquale (pronounced pahs-QWAL; born November 18, 1976) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as the somewhat dimwitted and slow yet brave and skilled New York City Firefighter/EMT Sean Garrity in the critically acclaimed series Rescue Me. His character of Firefighter Garrity was used for comic relief but also was shown as a skilled and useful firefighter. This allowed Pasquale to develop a unique character. He made his debut on the HBO series Six Feet Under, playing a love interest for David. He also starred in the film Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem.

He also starred in the Broadway production of the musical at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre beginning in late January 2014 with Kelli O'Hara replacing Shaddow. He had previously worked with O'Hara in 2013 in the world premiere of Richard Greenberg and Scott Frankel's musical Far from Heaven in which he portrayed Frank Whitaker.[7]
In 2014, Pasquale guest starred in the popular legal drama series premiered on CBS The Good Wife season 6 from episode 4 as Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) campaign manager Jonathan Elfman.
