Still Standing is a Canadian television series, airing on CBC Television in summer 2015.[1]
A hybrid comedy/reality series, the program features actor and comedian Jonny Harris. In each episode, Harris travels to a small Canadian community which is financially struggling but "still standing", and spends time getting to know the residents and their lifestyle. He then performs a stand-up comedy show for the town's residents, into which he integrates some of his newfound insights about life in their community.[1]
The show premiered on June 23, 2015, with an episode set in Bamfield, British Columbia.[1] Other episodes were set in Coleman, Alberta; Souris, Prince Edward Island; Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan; Berwick, Nova Scotia; Oil Springs, Ontario; Lytton, British Columbia; Manitou, Manitoba; Wawa, Ontario; Teeswater, Ontario; Rowley, Ontario; North Buxton, Ontario and Fogo Island, Newfoundland and Labrador.[2]
In August 2015, CBC Television announced that it has renewed the series for a second season, to air in summer 2016.[2]
