History
Co-founders Nick Yocca, C. Craig Carlson, Bill Rauth, and K.C. Schaaf formed the firm in 1975 after working together in the corporate department of Rutan & Tucker. Name partner Fritz Stradling joined the firm soon after its founding.[7] The firm has since expanded to roughly 120 attorneys, approximately eighty of whom work at the firm's Newport Beach office. The firm's current clients include Acacia Research Corp., Ceradyne, Inc., CKE Restaurants, Inc., Deckers Outdoor Corporation, Intralase Inc., ISTA Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Kingston Technology Co. Inc., Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Newport Corporation, and Spectrum Pharmaceuticals, Inc..[8]
