String Quartet No. 4 (Beethoven)

The opening measures of the first movement from a 19th-century publication
Ludwig van Beethoven's String Quartet No. 4, Op. 18, No. 4 in C minor (1798–1800) was published in 1801. It consists of four movements:
- Allegro ma non tanto
- Andante scherzoso quasi allegretto
- Menuetto: Allegretto
- Allegro – Prestissimo
It is thought that this quartet may be in part based upon earlier material.[1]
