Subdivisions of India

Not to be confused with Administrative divisions of India.

In some of the states of India, including Sikkim, Manipur and West Bengal, as well as in the union territory of Lakshadweep, the administrative entities below the districts are named "Sub-Divisions" or "Subdivisions" of India.

Lakshadweep

There are ten subdivisions of the union territory of Lakshadweep in the Laccadive Sea;[1] nine established in 1983, the tenth in 2009.[2]

Manipur

Sikkim

There are nine subdivisions in the state of Sikkim:[15]
