Suhel Seth

Suhel Seth (born May 1963[1] in Calcutta,[2] West Bengal, India) is a managing partner of consultancy Counselage India, founded by him in 2006. Seth is also an author, columnist and socialite.[3]

He regularly appears on Indian news channels[4] and writes columns in several publications including Daily News and Analysis,[5] Pune Mirror,[6] Mumbai Mirror, The Financial Express, The Financial Times,[7] London Times,[7] Business India,[7] The Hindustan Times[7] and The Indian Express[5]

He is a Punjabi but was born and raised in Calcutta, West Bengal.[2] He considers him self as Bengali. His father had a chemical factory in Calcutta.[2]

Seth studied from St. Joseph's College, Nainital, La Martiniere Calcutta, and Jadavpur University from where he did his BA (English Honours), and MA (International Relations). [5]

Seth has done over 135 theatre plays in English and also acted in several films under directors such as Mrinal Sen, Mahesh Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.[5]

Seth is also a board member of several international corporates including Cavendish and RADA and on the regional boards of Citibank, Coca Cola, Drayton Capital and Max Foundation.[5]

Suhel is also the chairman of both CII and FICCI's marketing committees. He is a member of the Experts' Committee of the Railway Board of India and is advisor to the Railways and also to the Indian Railway Ministry.[5]

Seth lives in Delhi[8]
