Sukhnidhey Films is a media production organization that aims to help conserve the world's rich historic, cultural, and natural heritage through audio-visual media, and is based in India.[1]

Founded by Rituraj Devaang, Sukhnidhey Films is a team of Heritage, Travel & Archaeo-Filmmakers producing Films, TV Shows and Film Festivals to sensitize the masses, especially the youth and is known for their popular TV Shows "Bharat Darshan: Exploring the Unexplored" and "Jambudweep: A Journey through Incredible India". The organization's films and TV Shows have been recognized as some of the best on Indian arts, heritage and culture.[2][3][4]

Heritage, Travel & Archaeo-Filmmaking: Exploring the Unexplored

With their motto, "Exploring the Unexplored", the organization is a team of heritage, travel & archaeo-filmmakers who explore India's most unknown and unexplored regions, documenting and filming historic & archaeological sites, ancient monuments and temples, cultures & traditions, and showcasing them to raise mass awareness, and promote tourism.[5][6][7][8]

Work with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) & Broadcasting Corporation of India

Working in the core areas of heritage conservation and documentation, the organization has been producing films for the Broadcasting Corporation of India (Prasar Bharti- more than 104 episodes so far), the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI)- Ministry of Culture and Uttar Pradesh Tourism[9]

Through their films and shows, the organization has been playing a pivotal role in showcasing the best of India's incredible historic, cultural and natural heritage and traditions to the youth so they might feel proud of their colourful cultures.[10]

Dharohar Heritage Film Festival

Sukhnidhey Films organized the Dharohar ("Heritage") Film Festival- a Heritage themed film festival with Gunijankhana- the Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh Museum Society, in collaboration with the Association of the British Scholars Jaipur Chapter- British Council, on April 7–8, 2015 at the City Palace, Jaipur.[11]

The heritage-themed film festival showcased the best of the films produced by the organization on the world's diverse heritage forms to students and the youth. There were featured talks & interactions with Rituraj Devaang, Vidhu Rashmi (Scriptwriter & Pre-Production Head, Sukhnidhey Films), Ajay Jain( C.E.O., Sukhnidhey Films), Dr. Rima Hooja (Archaeologist & Director- Minnesota's University's MSID India Programme), Mr. Anil Tiwari (Superintending Archaeologist, Archaeological Survey of India), Mr. Rahul Kumar (Prinicpal Chief Conservator of Wildlife, Rajasthan Forest Department), Mr. Shailendra Agarwal (Principal Secretary – Tourism, Art & Culture Department, Government of Rajasthan), and other esteemed dignitaries.[12]

The festival was inaugurated by Princess Diya Kumari of the erstwhile royal family of Jaipur, and Mr. Shailendra Agarwal, Principal Secretary- Tourism, Art & Culture Department, Government of Rajasthan.[13]

The festival was critically acclaimed as a unique initiative to sensitize the masses through the powerful medium of films.[14]

Films & TV Shows

Sukhnidhey Films has been producing TV travel Shows such as 'Bharat Darshan: Exploring the Unexplored' and 'Jambudweep: A Journey through Incredible India' for Doordarshan- India's National Television network.[15] The organization has so far produced more than 104 episodes exclusively on travel, heritage, arts & culture for Indian National Television.

The shows have been appreciated for their innovative subjective, first person cinematography, unique contemporary scripts & editing treatment which involve the viewers deeply into the story.[16]

Some of the noted films produced by the organization include "The World's Best!", "Chand Baori: The Mystery of Abhaneri", "Talkad: The Curse of The Queen", "Vindhyagiri: The Forgotten Glory", "Tal Chappar: The Indian Savanna", "Srirangapatnam: History's Battleground", "Keshava: The Forgotten Temple", etc.[17]

Work for Academia & Research

Sukhnidhey Films' works (heritage and archaeo-films) are highly research driven and often focus on unknown aspects of ancient Indian heritage, culture and archaeology. Their works showcase and bring to light the stories of some of the world's most unknown places- palaces, forts, temples and monuments which abound in archaeological riches and have few existing historical researches and publications on them.

Consequently, the organization's films and TV Shows have been used as teaching aids for students of archaeology, art history and Indian studies; their films have been a part of curriculum of the American Institute of Indian Studies- New York State Independent College Consortium for Study in India, Government Schools & Colleges, etc), used as tools in teaching, research and study on Indian heritage-culture.

Awards & Appreciation

The works of Sukhnidhey Films, and its founder filmmaker, Rituraj Devaang, have been appreciated by esteemed organizations such as the Archaeological Survey of India, the National Geographic, the Ministry of Environment & Forests, Government of India , the Wildlife Trust of India, National Monuments Authority, etc and are regularly featured on the official website of the Ministry.[18][19]

The films produced by the organization have been recognized as some of the best on Indian heritage and culture, and have been awarded and screened at prestigious national & international film festivals.[20]

Their works are also a part of the official archives of the National Monuments Authority of India.

Sukhnidhey Films produced a corporate documentary film for Qualcomm Inc. which was awarded the "World Class Quality in Film Production Award" by Qualcomm Inc.[21]

Corporate & Advertisement Films

Sukhnidhey Films has also been producing Corporate and Advertisement films that have been appreciated for their unique concept and design. The films have been showcased on television and on cinema screens. The organization has produced films for prestigious brands and organizations such as Qualcomm Inc, ASI, Bardiya Group, JECRC University and Foundation, GT Central Mall, Jaipur, Snow Planet Amusement Park and WarZone Paintball, etc. Sukhnidhey Films' corporate documentary film and curtain raiser film for Qualcomm Inc. was awarded the "World Class Quality in Film Production Award" by Qualcomm Inc.[21]
