Sulitjelmaisen (Lule Sami: Sállajiegŋa) is one of the largest glaciers in mainland Norway. It is mostly located in the municipality of Fauske in Nordland county, Norway. The far eastern part of the glacier crosses the border into Sweden, where it is referred to as Salajekna. When the whole glacier is considered, is the largest glacier in Sweden.
The glacier's highest point is 1,680 metres (5,510 ft) above sea level and its lowest point is at an elevation of 830 metres (2,720 ft). The glacier has retreated in recent years. The lake Låmivatnet lies just south of the glacier.[1]
Stockholm University operates an automatic weather station near the glacier front.[2]
