Summit High School is one of five comprehensive high schools in the Fontana Unified School District. It is located at 15551 Summit Avenue in Fontana, California. The Summit Branch Public Library is located on the Summit High School campus. The school was opened on September 5, 2006.

Demographics

As of 2013 total enrollment of approximately 2554 students from diversified backgrounds: 70.7% Hispanic or Latino, 13.5% African American, 8.3% White, 4.2% Filipino, 2.2% Asian, .2% American Indian, .2% Pacific Islander and .7% other ethnic backgrounds.[1]

School motto

The school motto is: "Every student will be provided an exciting, challenging, and comprehensive educational program that is aligned to state standards in a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment."

Football Team

Summit High School is known for its football program, which has found success in the Sunkist League. The 2011-12 season, coached under Tony Barlie and managed by tyler fowler(a freshman when he started), won the CIF-SS championship and was ranked 37th in California for the season.[2]
