Sunset Ridge School District 29
Sunset Ridge School District 29 is an elementary school district with schools located in Northfield, Illinois. This district feeds into the prestigious New Trier High School in Northfield and Winnetka, Illinois that has been portrayed in movies such as Uncle Buck, Mean Girls and other films. Sunset Ridge, a 4th-8th grade school, is a small school with an average graduating class of 60-70 students. Sunset Ridge was the top middle school in Illinois in ISAT testing in 2005, and is always one of the top two public schools in the State of Illinois. The school mascot is the Eagle. The district's K-3rd grade school is Middlefork. Its mascot is the Dolphin. All sports are no cut. The fall sports are Co-ed Soccer, Field Hockey, and Girls Volleyball. The winter sports are Boys Basketball and Girls Basketball. The spring sports are Track and Field and Boys Volleyball. There is always a musical in the spring. The last few productions were Seussical (2010), Alice in Wonderland (2011),Beauty and the Beast (2012), and Fame (2013).
