Super Lovers (スーパーラヴァーズ Sūpāravāzu) is a Japanese shōnen-ai manga series published in the magazine Emerald by Miyuki Abe, author of Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East. An anime adaptation premiered in April 2016.

Plot

The story focuses on the relationship that develops between Haru and his adoptive younger brother Ren after their mother tasks him with "civilizing" the antisocial Ren.[1]

The eldest brother. He is the adopted brother to Ren and stepbrothers to Aki and Shima. 5 years ago, when he went to Canada, he met Ren. Even though Ren was quite hostile towards him, he managed to make Ren open his heart. He lost his memories of that summer when he came back to Japan due to an accident. He is half-Canadian.

Abe began publishing Super Lovers in Kadokawa's Ciel magazine in 2010,[1] before switching to the Emerald magazine upon its 31 August 2014 launch.[2] Eight volumes have been published as of August 2015.

Anime

An anime adaptation was announced via a handout included with the reprint of volume one of Shungiku Nakamura's √W.P.B. manga.[1] It will be directed by Shinji Ishihira and written by Yoshiko Nakamura, with animation by the animation studio Studio Deen. Miki Takihara is in charge of the series character designs.[12] The opening theme song is Okaeri by Yūsuke Yata and the ending theme is Happiness YOU&ME by Kaidō 4 Kyōdai (voice actors of Ren, Haru, Aki, and Shima).[13]

The 10-episode series premiered on 6 April 2016, and will be broadcast on Tokyo MX, Sun TV, BS11, Chiba TV, tvk, Mie TV, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, Gifu Broadcasting, and TV Saitama.[14]

A 20-minute long OVA will be included with the 10th volume of the manga when it ships on 1 January 2017.[14]
