Suthep Wongkamhaeng

Suthep Wongkamhaeng(สุเทพ วงศ์กำแหง) was born in Korat , Thailand. He is a Thai national singer, who referred him as a "Crooner." His style of music is Luk Krung .He's very well known by his song " Luk Kom pà(Orphan) , Rak kunh Kai laen(I'd have love you now), and Jai pi( My heart)."He was named a National Artist in 1990. In 2003, he gained international attention because his song Pid Tang Rak (Wrong Way to Love) was among 18 songs deemed "improper" or offensive to "public decency," by the Ministry of Culture's Culture Watch Center. As the song was twenty years old, and he argued in offensive, he reacted to the statement with surprise. In 2005,he sang at Princess Petcharat Rajsuda's 80th Anniversary at the request of the Cultural Council. He had been in a lot of movies and sing the intro. of many Thai classic movie. Today he work as a President of the music of Thailand organizing the music industry. He's very well known and respected among his fan ,today he still sing. He often sing at Pafic hotel in Thailand and sometime he come to the U.S. to sing to his fan. He's goal is to keep Thai Luk Krung going , people today don't understand the art of Thai music. Plus, he often said in a TV interview this pass years. He have passion for arts; he loved to draw. His love for art lead him to become a singer.
