The Sutiya dynasty (1187–1673) ruled the Sutiya Kingdom in present-day northeast Assam and Arunachal Pradesh for over 400 years. The dynasty was established by Birpal, who formed his capital at Swarnagiri in 1187. The rule of this dynasty ended after the Ahom-Sutiya war in 1673.
