Sven Mollekleiv

Sven Mollekleiv (born 2 March 1955) is a Norwegian organizational leader.

He was born in Bergen,[1] but grew up in Oslo, and has his education from the Norwegian School of Sport Sciences. He worked as director of information in the Norwegian Confederation of Sports from 1984 to 1986, market director of the Football Association of Norway from 1988 to 1991 and secretary-general of the Norwegian Red Cross from 1991 to 2001. Since 2001 he has been a director in Det Norske Veritas.[1]

He has been the chairman of Vålerenga Fotball,[1] and has been a board member of Amnesty International Norway and chairman of the Association of NGOs in Norway. He is the President of the Norwegian Red Cross since 2008. He represents Det Norske Veritas in the World Business Council for Sustainable Development.
