Overview
Jacobs Engineering was founded in 1947 by Dr Joseph J Jacobs. The current CEO is Mr. Steven J. Demetriou.[3] The previous President and CEO was Craig L. Martin from 2006 until 2014.[4]
The company is publicly traded as a Fortune 500 company,[5] and as of October 2015 had 64,000 employees globally.[1] Jacobs has more than 250 offices in North America, South America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, Africa, and Asia.[6]
The company is structured around four lines of business: Petroleum & Chemicals; Buildings & Infrastructure; Aerospace & Technology; and Industrial.[7]
