Sydney Harland

Sydney Cross Harland FRS FRSE (19 June 18918 November 1982) was a British botanist.

He was educated at King's College London.[1] He was George Harrison Professor of Botany at the University of Manchester from 1950 to 1958 where he was subsequently made an Emeritus Professor.

He was made a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1943.[2] He was also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.
